Hi everyone. This morning at 7am, a Great Blue Heron flew past my livingroom window at eye level, heading in a SW direction.
9-10am, Lake Aquitaine, SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre. Sighted the following at West end of lake - dock area:
Canada Geese
Gulls (mainly Ring-billed)
Cardinal x 1 (male)
Chickadees
Grackles
House Sparrows
Mallards
Mourning Doves
Red-winged Blackbirds (males and females)
Robins
Starlings
10-11am, Maplewood Park, East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave. Sighted the following:
Blue Jays x 3
Cardinal x 1 (male)
Chickadees
Cooper's Hawk x 1 (female sitting quietly in nest)
House Sparrows
Junco x 1 (male)
Mourning Doves
Red-breasted Nuthatches
Robins
Ruby-crowned Kinglet x 1 (male) - got a perfect look at his red crown!
