I was surprised to find a late adult Glaucous Gull at Sam Smith Park yesterday evening. I guess no one told him about the early spring! It was last seen flying west into Mississauga. I didn't cover much of the park, but grebe and merganser numbers are down noticeably.
Tree, Barn, and Northern Rough-winged Swallows were all checking out nesting sites. I had a mockingbird doing a very convincing Mallard. I actually watched his beak to be sure it was really him! :o
