Post by: Bird Brain on April 27, 2012, 01:52:00 PM
Hi everyone.  My mom was visiting this morning so we went for a walk at Maplewood Park (East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave.) from 9:45-10:45am.  Weather:  cloudy, very windy, -5c windchill and light snow.  I was not a happy camper!    Is it Summer yet?!

Once again, bumped into the 2 gentlemen photographers from Scarborough - had an interesting and lengthy conversation!   8)

Today's sightings:

Blue Jay x 1
Cardinal x 1 (male)
Cooper's Hawk x 1 (female sitting quietly in nest)
House Sparrows - lots
Robins

At 11am, NW corner of Lake Aquitaine (SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave.), sighted the following:

Canada Geese
Chickadee x 1
Goldfinches x 6 (3m, 3f) - males with beautiful bright yellow!
Mallards
Ring-billed Gulls
