Title: Marco Island

I'm heading to Marco Island on vacation in July.  I've done a lot of reading, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the area.

Anyone been to Marco, Rookery Bay, Everglades, Naples...?

Going to Marco Island and looking for a good spot in the area for a few hours of birding.

I like Shark Valley (east along the Tamiami Trail) and have heard good things about the Corkscrew Swamp (north and east of Naples).  Sanibel Island to the north has some good spots in winter... I'm just not sure that it would be worth the drive at this time of year.

Caveat:  I haven't actually been to Shark Valley in the last ten years, so I couldn't tell if it has changed a great deal in the meantime.
