Title: Luke Skywalker Day at Lake Aquitaine

Hi everyone.  My mom was visiting today so we walked around Lake Aquitaine from 11:15am - 12:15pm.  Sighted the following:

Baltimore Orioles x 2 (females)
Canada Geese x 6 - mom, dad and 4 goslings
Cardinal x 1 (male)
Grackles - lots
Great Blue Heron x 1 - flying by, heading NE
House Sparrows - lots
Mallards x 8
Mourning Doves x 2 - mating
Red-winged Blackbirds - lots
Robins - lots
Starlings - lots

Lake Aquitaine:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.

Oh man!!!, I missesd the Orioles?  Poooo.  where wer they?

Oh well, I spotted a pair of Cedar Waxwings, one was feeding the other one berries!!  How cute was that!!!  Also sighted a big fat 'ol groundhog having a snooz in the sun.

Hi Bob.  They were in the far SE corner of the park, just before the tunnel we walked through and discovered the "mystery bird" (flycatcher?).   I was hoping to sight the male Baltimore Oriole, but ... Nope, not around.  

The huge groundhog was at East end of the lake, grassy hilly area not far from the "food table".
