While coming back this afternoon from the Mounstberg Reservoir Conservation Centre some wierd "gut feeling" told me to take a different route, quite uncomon for me as I am usually a creature of habit.
On a side road just west of Campbellville ( Guelph Line) and south of the 401 I spotted a large "nest looking thing" off the side of the road, up fairly high. I just had to back up and take a closer look.
It turned out to be a Great Blue Heron sitting in her nest. No wait, there were 2 nests. Oh. look a little closer -3 nests!
I just about fell over. This did make my day. Pics will be in the Ontario Birds section.
