Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good recording of bird songs? I've been looking on the internet and there are several sites, but it's kind of hit and miss and generally very disapppointing.

For online birding, there is the Cornell site (http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/).
If you want to purchase a CD, I go by the Thayer Birding Software (http://www.thayerbirding.com/dnn/Products/tabid/598/Default.aspx) set. Although, as a learning tool, I also like my Peterson's.
Have you checked the reviews, here (http://www.ofo.ca/cdrom.htm)?

Thanks GStuart,
The Thayer set looks pretty comprehensive but looks like I need a computer for it. I'm actually looking for something i can put on my Ipod and listen to while on my road trip to Newfoundland this summer. The Peterson series look good but there are several different sets. Recommendation? I have seen any reviews.
Mike

Hi,
Never mind. I just read some reviews and have ordered Peterson's Birding by Ear set. It sounds like exactly what I was looking for.
