A good day, 60 species in total but the highlight was a King Eider-Ist Winter, male. Most of the time he "'ad 'is 'ed tucked underneath 'is arm" but when he stopped dozing and his head popped out he was a beauty. Two other more experienced birders confirmed, The best from the list of usual suspects were: Wilsons, Cape May, Magnolia, Black Throated Green & Blue, yellow, Yellow -rumped, Pine Siskins, Gray-cheeked Thrush, Swainson's Thrush, Veery, Brown Thrasher, Lesser Yellowlegs and a Belted Kinfisher. Wow!

I can also confirm the King Eider. He was keeping with a flock of male Mallards in one of the bays and didn't care too much about the presence of humans. I believe this may be the same individual that was at LaSalle earlier this year. A pair of jet-skiers scared him and he flew off at about 4:45 p.m.
