We've done the trip in winter for snowies, but it was a bad year, but we did get a few good Rough-Legged hawks. There's a nice guide on OFO.

i did not get to the Island

but did purchase some bakery items

There is still 1 Snowy Owl over there, last seen at at the intersection of 3rd Line Road and Baseline Road on June 11.
