Title: "Yellows" at Silver Creek CA
Post by: Brian Bailey on May 21, 2012, 10:07:13 PM
Hiking the Bruce Trail & side trails in and around Silver Creek Conservation Area (Georgetown area) today, I was rewarded with a couple of nice (and unexpected) birds:  Yellow-billed Cuckoo and Yellow-throated Vireo.  Unfortunately I had to be satisfied with their songs, because both were well hidden in the leaves.  I also heard an Eastern Phoebe (presumably on territory) at the edge of the Terra Cotta CA.  I did manage to see 2 of at least 3 Scarlet Tanagers.

Another "yellow" was my first Tiger Swallowtails of the year.
