Title: American Bittern
Post by: Photoman on May 28, 2012, 07:02:52 PM
Greetings to all :D

Mike and I stopped at Prospect Rd near Kirkfeild and came across an American Bittern singing away in the marsh. Then with some luck this guy walked across the road for some great shots.

Enjoy

Um...is that the trip I was supposed to come on?
That'll teach me not to go.
I could kick myself..and have done so.
These are great Clemens. Fantastic shooting. They are even better than Mike's
Hope to see you soon.

Wow!  Great find!  And of a species I have never layed eyes upon.  I always get stuck with the birds on Wylie Rd. and never hit the other spots like Prospect.

Fantastic.  I only usually see the rear end :)

Great shots. Spend a lot of time at the marshes in Newmarket and Aurora but have yet to come across one of these.
