Title: Great Crested Flycatcher, Red-eyed Vireo
Post by: Reuven_M on June 01, 2012, 10:41:12 AM
A couple of interesting birds on territory in the backyard this year. A Great Crested Flycatcher has been calling from the tops of the trees every day, and 2 different Red-eyed Vireos singing in the backyards on either side. Otherwise, very quiet, the only other species around are Red-bellied Woodpecker, Robin, Chickadee, Cardinal and Goldfinch. No sign of any Catbirds, Chipping Sparrows, Grackles, Mourning Doves or House Finches, all of which have been present in past summers.
