Today at Colonel Sam`s I saw 35 species.
Some highlights include the king eider,
3 flycatcher species (willow, least and eastern kingbird),
5 species of swallow (barn, tree, cliff, bank and rough-winged),
2 warbler species ( yellow and common yellowthroat),
3 sparrow species (house, white-throated and song)
and other species include brown-headed cowbird, belted kingfisher, common tern, killdeer and black-bellied plover.

I took a walk through that park last week, it seemed the number of warbler species was much lower than it was say, in early May. Could it be that the migration has ended and the birds have moved on? (I'm also thinking that the foliage is so much thicker making it harder to see the birds).

Yes, most of the warblers had passed through our area by then.
