Title: Wilson's/Common Snipe
Post by: American Redstart on June 09, 2012, 04:23:45 PM
Are Wilson's and Common Snipe the same species?
If not which one do we get in Southern Ontario?

Same 2 questions for common moorhen/common gallinule.

Both these groups were once considered a single species, but more evidence has shown that they are more accurately described with two species.
Wilson's Snipe is the North American version of what was once just called Common Snipe world-wide
