Title: Wainfleet Bog/Marsh
Post by: Napper on July 01, 2007, 08:03:06 PM
Have any of you ever visited the Wainfleet bog?

I did a very quik recon today 20 minutes in and then back. I wasn't really wearing suitable foot wear. I turned around when I encountered a really wet black boggy area.

I did spot

A Grey Catbird
A couple of Yellow Warblers
A female Rose breasted Grosbeak
A Eastern Kingbird
many Tree sparrows
many Barn swallows

I heard many sounds that were  new to me, I couldn't spot them because they were deep in the bush or high in the canopy..
I also spotted butterflies that I have never seen before.
