My neighbour and I have been observing a large black swallowtail with irridescent deep blue hind wing. She photographed it this morning, and the underside of the hind wing has the single row of large orange spots of a pipevine swallowtail. How significant is this species in the Toronto area, - since it's range is shown to be considerably farther south?
