I have to say, I've been heartened this summer, to see more LBB's than I did last summer. I didn't see a single bat last summer -- I usually expect to see one flying around my place on a summer evening. This summer, I have been seeing them most nights since the begining of July and I see several flying around -- in past years it would be a solitary bat.
And, even more heartening (for me anyway), I have some friends who are hosting a colony of about 50 in their attic. They've called in The Bat Guy to remove them. Sorry, it's only 49 in the colony. Seems one got into their bedroom at 2 a.m. last night.

I too have been seeing "many" bats around our place this summer. I saw none last year. Is it asking too much to be hopeful?
