Hey guys. Remember me? :)
I love August. The hummingbirds at the Brickworks come out and feed. Pretty sure these are the juvies, since the #s of hummingbirds dropped this week. I've had 2 days of decent light. Will post more photos later.
And anyone who shoots hummers know that they're the ultimate in testing your patience. These come and feed every 30 minutes. Their flight is unpredictable, their tolerance of me wavers (sometimes I have to hide, sometimes they come when I'm in the path).
enjoy.

You again? :D
Welcome back, it's about time you started posting again.
#1 is awesome Richard.
Is this from that spot we were at last year? Seems to be a great place to find them.
I haven't noticed a drop in numbers at all. The opposite really, I find numbers really go up at this time of year. More frequent visits to feeders and flowers, both in the backyard and "wild" birds. They are really out and about trying to feed as much as possible and get as fat as they can before they leave for another year.
