Title: Sam Smith - Green Heron up a tree

Today at Sam Smith, up a tree overlooking the ( almost dry ) marsh, near the viewing platform near the carpark....

Yes, there are still 2 baby grebes and the 3rd egg is still not hatched

I thought they had given up on that egg! They were all far from the nest when I stopped by this evening.  That should make photos a matter of patience and luck from now on.

Hey Bob.......first you were having a hard time in the spring finding them and now you are finding them everywhere

Yes Dave, I actually heard the guy first and wondered "what the heck is that up that tree behind me?".  When I had a closer look I said to myself "what the heck is up with that?,  that's the last place I expected to see you!"

So you found another "chicken" in a tree.
That's 2 for the week!
Not as close as Rattray but another great find.
