Over the last 3 weeks I have been observing the following at Lakefront Promenade Park in Lakeview
A pair of Rednecked Grebes

And with 1 juvenile that I have seen

And a pair of Pied-billed Grebes - these guys are small!

Hey, that means there was another successful Red-necked Grebe nest out that way! :D There have been suspicions of nesting around the sewage treatment plant, but no evidence - until now. Was this the area east of the yacht club?

Yes, east of the yacht club, in the sheltered bay. I also saw a Green Heron about a week ago near the wooden foot bridge between Promenade Park and the yacht club.
