Over the last 3 weeks I have been observing the following at Lakefront Promenade Park in Lakeview

A pair of Rednecked Grebes

Hey, that means there was another successful Red-necked Grebe nest out that way!  :D There have been suspicions of nesting around the sewage treatment plant, but no evidence - until now.  Was this the area east of the yacht club?

Yes, east of the yacht club,  in the sheltered bay.  I also saw a Green Heron about a week ago near the wooden foot bridge between Promenade Park and the yacht club.
