Title: Blue Jays on the Move!
Post by: Bluffs Birder on September 21, 2012, 09:07:02 PM
During our HawkWatch today at Rosetta McClain Gardens in Scarborough a conservative guess of 20,000 Blue Jays flew over us heading westward.  They were going by in small to large flocks all day long.  Blue Jays migration started about a week ago but really ramped-up today.

Other sightings included 27 Common Loons, 1 Common Nighthawk and a few late Chimney Swifts.

Saw about 300 blue jays fly past my school.
