Post by: Bird Brain on September 23, 2012, 02:48:51 PM
Hi everyone.  I met up with my mom today at Riverwood for a "Marvelous Mushrooms" walk from 9:30-11am.  It was excellent!  Led by fungi expert Richard Aaron - very interesting, informative and funny.  Had some really great laughs and also learned a lot!

Birds sighted between 8:30am - 12 noon:

Black-capped Chickadees x 4
Blue Jays x 50+
Robins x 4
Sharp-shinned Hawk x 1
Turkey Vulture x 1
White-breasted Nuthatches x 3

Some beautiful, bright yellow and bright red leaves appearing on the trees!

Riverwood:  The Credit Woodlands/Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. - park runs North from Burnhamthorpe.
