I spotted an American Mink along the Etobicoke Creek just north of Lakeshore Boulevard today.

Dam illegal immigrants from the south.... hope the Canadian mink chase him back south... :D :D :D :D

My parents have spotted mink at their home -- they're about 500 m from the mouth of Cooksville creek. Never saw them as a kid growing up (70's / 80's)...I wonder if they were always there or have made a comeback.
Soooo is that the full and correct name ? American Mink ? I dunno....kinda rubs me the wrong way....American Bald Eagle...American Goldfinch...all we have is a goose that craps everywhere...and they call the Canada Jay the Gray Jay....notice spelling of Gray / Grey :evil:

Not sure what they call them now..... when I was in college they were referred to as only "mink" but as with everything theses days they seem to like changing the names around now and than.... as with names of birds....I don't think the mink really care as long as the fish are still free to catch... :)

American Minks are commonly sighted along the Etobicoke Creek. American Minks appear to like rocky areas by the water. You can say American Mink or Mink. I think many people say American Mink to distinguish between the European Mink.

I'm not sure exactly when the population took off. Ten years ago I never saw them. In the past few years, they have become common along the Etobicoke shoreline.
