Autumn.
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness (Keats).
So after a month & a half absence, since dispersal 2nd week of August, I saw an adult Coopers on the weekend.
An adult male this morning, & what was he doing? Gathering sticks from the dead elm & carrying them towards the nest.
