Title: Salmon in German Mills Park
Post by: Howieh on October 01, 2012, 09:06:20 PM
I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours in German Mills Park late Monday afternoon. The salmon are back and there are several good viewing spots quite close to the Leslie Street entrance. I also encountered a flock of golden crowned kinglets and had a fun(?) time trying to photograph them - I'm probably exaggerating when I say they make hummingbirds seem docile but any of you who have tried to get good kinglet shots will know what I mean! (It's also a good case for replacing my 100-400 lens with a 500 but that will probably require some pillow talk :) )
