The most notable birds on a beautiful afternoon were likely the first two White-crowned Sparrows I've seen this fall, a Blue-headed Vireo and two Eastern Phoebes. In the raptor department, a juvenile Bald Eagle flew over and a Cooper's Hawk was engaged in an entertaining battle with two very aggressive American Crows. Waterfowl included Northern Shoveler, Blue-winged Teal and American Wigeon.
