Title: Fox Sparrow and Catbird
Post by: Molebird on October 18, 2012, 09:55:32 AM
Spent some time at Humber East yesterday and were surprised to see a lone fox sparrow amongst a bunch of juncos and song sparrows.  Only our second sighting of a fox sparrow since the spring in the Baselands.

A catbird appeared - also a surprise since we have not seen any in the last few weeks.  Thought they had all gone.

A very pleasant sighting of a mocking bird - 'humming' his repertoire, no doubt, in preparation for the spring.

All together 28 species sighted - including a swamp sparrow.
