Post by: Napper on July 24, 2007, 08:44:22 PM
Hey..

We are still way up here, West of Thunder Bay. Spotted Purple Finches today, Evening Grosbeaks and Pine Siskins

would someone be kind enough to confirm the Pine Siskin. Thankyou  :D

Neigbhours have a feeder out ... Really warm 90 deg F and the bugs are really bad

both images have been cropped and sharpened

Yes, it is a Pine Siskin. They are streaky, with the yellow edging on their wings. They also have that pointy bill. Nice picture of the Evening Grosbeak. That is one of the birds on my wish list.
