There was a Bald Eagle perched on a fence on the south side of Hwy 407, just west of Mavis at 5pm today.
-
very likely due to tonight's/tomorrow's storm coming.
cool.
-
we passed through there at 4:15 on Friday
I spotted a very light breasted Red Tailed Hawk(with almost no belly band) on the North Side of 407 Near Mavis.
I didn't see a Bald Eagle, that would have been a first for me in the GTA.
I made sure to look today along the 407 on the way home. Nothing
Napper :D

pretty certain me and Meghan saw a juvie bald eagle land at Leslie Spit 2 years ago. we were out for 3 hrs and it was on our way back. too fatigued to investigate. but a HUGE, dark raptor that was blacker than any other raptor would either be a bald eagle or....?

To be honest, I didn't believe it at first. But it was like slow motion, it was perched perfectly on the fence just off the side of the highway. The ironic part was that I actually had my camera on my passenger seat. But I didn't think it was worth the 25 car collision it would have caused. LOL
