I had a small flock of cedar waxwings in a cherry tree in front of my house earlier today, hopefully a sign of things (birds) to come!

We had a few too in Mississauga SW of Dundas/Winston Churchill. They were eating ornamental (small) crabapples in the pouring rain on Sunday.
Nice to see they're around!

About thirty waxwings returned this morning but the overcast made shooting conditions too difficult so I just enjoyed watching them gorging on berries. Hopefully they will be around this weekend along with a bit of sun and I'll have a photo-op before they're spooked by passing vehicles or people.
