Title: Tommy Thompson park update?
Post by: mr.sharp-photo on November 17, 2012, 01:41:20 PM
I've heard that TT park is going to stop allowing land dumping in the new year. guessing it will become a full-time park.
that also includes the opening of the new visitor's centre near the front and tearing down the trailers and toll booth near the front.
soo.....does this also mean that the Spit will be open 7 days a week?

That was the plan as I understand it Richard. Open 7 days a week. There was to be a fee to get in I believe(only like $5), a fee for the bus(which I truely dont mind paying myself, though I think that is a dream now that the city parks has taken over the Spit) and TTC was supposed to run a bus right down to Unwin. Whether any or all of that comes to pass???

If U contact Friends of Leslie Street Spit they may have the best most current info.
