Title: Climate Change or Normal - Dandelions blooming in Nov?
Post by: TOBarbers on November 19, 2012, 11:22:08 AM
I went to visit my mother in Cambridge on Sunday and noticed hundreds of dandelions had bloomed and gone to seed on the boulevards and parks near Franklin. Is this a normal thing or is it a sign of global warming?

Ultimately, maybe yes, but I suspect they're just getting tripped up by the unusual weather pattern (which may be caused by climate change).  We had a very dry summer, followed by an unusually wet fall.  It may have tricked the plants into "thinking" it's spring.
