Title: Female white-winged crossbill
Post by: mr.sharp-photo on December 02, 2012, 12:28:18 PM
I hate making excuses for crappy photos, but man....the lighting yesterday sucked. couldn't really see what the birds were when I was shooting because of the murky dull grey sky.  Figured out that i was looking at around 30 crossbills (with some redpolls among them) eating away.

I took around 80 photos of them. about 4 were ok. none of the males were even close to being decent.

So here's a sexy lady....

The mark of a true fanatic. Last couple of days has been horrendous light-wise. Today looks even worse.
