Title: Snowy Owl
Post by: cairnstone on December 31, 2012, 05:54:47 PM
Got a Snowy Owl this morning at precisely 8:04 a.m. on Convair Drive and Britannia Road at Pearson Airport. It was about 25 meters away on the other side of the airport security fence. A good place for owls that don't want to be bothered. Their own security fence!

25m is pretty close for a long lens. Good pic op.

Thanks for the info.

Pearson gets at least one every winter.   Usually by luck to see it obviously.  We saw the one last year on the fence at 401 and Renforth as it flew to it.  Not much more one can do but say "wow" or "holy s**t" as we pass it doing a buck ten.
