Title: Birding around Alliston
Post by: American Redstart on January 05, 2013, 02:12:30 PM
I went to a resort in Alliston called Nottawasaga Inn.
It had a nice trail with a lot of houses that had feeders.
In 2 days, I saw 13 birds, which wasn't too bad considering every bird was showing up at feeders.
The highlight was a female common redpoll which appeared 2 days in a row.
I also went to Minesing Swamp for 30 minutes where I saw 10 species including some ravens and at least 30 tree sparrows
