Title: Coyotes
Post by: RKD on January 06, 2013, 10:07:08 PM
Was out walking the dogs late at night last night and saw 5 coyotes running across the street a couple hundred feet in front of me. A beautiful sight but wish it had been a bit lighter so I could have seen them more clearly. My dogs hadn't sensed them so decided to turn around before they got riled up or more then likely scared. Lol

What area are you and the coyotes in?

We and the coyotes are in rural Goergetown

We used to have Coyotes at our back fence in urban Milton when the farm field across Derry Rd. existed.
It has since been replaced by a housing development. We can still hear them late at night well South of us.

Our 2 year old  "BC" in that sort of situation would sense them with her nose  before I saw them and give me the look "lets go back to the house
please".

She has an uncanny sense of smell and acts more like a blood hound at times, Is than normal for a Herding dog?

I spotted one this morning on one of the ponds by the Aberfoyle Nestle water plant.
