Title: winter robins
Post by: Howieh on January 07, 2013, 05:23:47 PM
As I was leaving for an noon appointment a flock of at least twenty robins was circling the neighbourhood, first ones I've seen for several weeks! :)

I haven't been doing a lot of birding this winter, but my impression is that there aren't that many around this year.  It seems odd, considering the mild weather.  Maybe I haven't been looking in the right places.

I also saw about 10 robins by Swansea Public School on Windermere.

I saw some at dusk on Sunday at the Charles Sauriol Conservation Reserve Park right off the DVP.

The usual flock of 20 - 30 robins is over-wintering at Lambton Woods.
