Title: PLS. READ - Duck Injured by Dog at Grenadier Pond
Post by: KPaw on January 27, 2013, 10:18:26 AM
Hi, I apologize if this is in the incorrect sub-forum.

A duck at Grenadier Pond was seriously injured by an off-leash dog charging into the pond Saturday morning (Jan. 26).   The area where this took place is just slightly south of the foot bridge that runs east/west off Ellis Road.  There is a very narrow channel of water there that does not freeze over and, during the cold temperatures of last week, all the ducks congregated there.   As said, the duck is injured and blood was found on the scene.  We believe that this happened mid-morning.

If anyone witnessed this please send me a private message.

Thank you for any help.

This stuff makes my blood boil.     It is why I avoid certain parks since the bi-laws are not enforced.  Has anyone tried to get the Duck help?  Like Toronto Wildlife Centre?  If the Duck survives what has happened.   :(
