Today at 9:30 am during a break from work I spotted 2 Northern Harriers'.
They were working the area behind the Hangers, Flying low over the grass occasionally dropping to the ground.
I was able to watch them for about 10 minutes as they hunted and played for a second or two.
At lunch time I spotted one heading over the fence into Downsview park.

Hi Napper
I was driving by Downsview Park yesterday afternoon. I saw 2 raptors flying over the park and thought they looked like Northern Harriers. Your report confirms that for me. Thanks!

Hey! Leslie Kinrys
The two of them were there again this morning around 6:20 am when I arrived for work. Again I was able to watch them play for about 10 minutes.
Looked like they were playing with a dead mouse, lifting it in the air and dropping it. Chasing one another around etc..

Hey all !!
It is Sept 20, 2007 6:00 pm
Yesterday just after dawn as the fog was lifting and again around 9:30 am. Two Northern Harriers were seen by me coursing low over the area directly behind the hangers where I work at Downsview. The area is North of the Hangers near the tracks, East of Downsview Park and South of the old Dh plant we generally call plant 2..
Napper. :)
