About noon today, at Victoria Park which is north of King Street West between Strathcona and Locke. The Merlin flushed a few score European Starlings and continued about two hundred yards to perch on top of a tall spruce in a backyard. I followed for a closer look and the Merlin cooperated. Dark brown; adult female or juvenile.
