nice shot....there's a male Pintail at Humber Bay as well......and seems the same amount of ice by your shots

Gorgeous duck, great catch! I hope he's still there when we head down on Wednesday.

I got a Pintail at Humber Bay East. Could it be the same one? It's interesting how they like to hang out with Mallards. Is that normal or is that just a winter behaviour because their numbers are so few in winter?

I was back there this afternoon and I finally was able to see him as he blends in so much with the Mallards it was really tough to spot him. Lucky for me there was a guy feeding the Mallards and he came in fairly close to shore so I think you should be ok to see him. Lots of Longtails, Common and Red Breasted Mergansers, Buffleheads, 3 Mutes, Gulls, Pigeons Canada Goose, seen today.

Well seen.
I was there on Saturday afternoon - high winds, foot thick snow all round, not the best of conditions.
Did see a RTH on a tree on the way out. Stopped by the side of the road to take a shot but he wised up and was gone in jiffy. Earlier saw his circling high above the cliffs.
