A 62 year old (at least) Laysan Albatross, the oldest known wild bird has just hatched another chick. I noticed some news organizations have picked-up the story, but here's the original article: http://www.usgs.gov/newsroom/article.asp?ID=3504 It's amazing, inspiring, and also a bit sad when you realize that 19 of 21 albatross species are threatened with extinction.
