Title: Fox Squirrel
Post by: Rotarran on February 17, 2013, 10:16:03 PM
Recently went to Indianapolis for a few days for business but also tried to get in some birding.  Didn't have much luck in that regard but did see the Fox Squirrel.  Not sure how common they are in Indianapolis but it wasn't exactly hard to spot them or take pictures of them.  All I know is that we don't have any in Ontario so it was cool seeing and photographing them

Actually, I seem to recall seeing them on Pelee Island, so at least somewhere in Ontario does have them.
Here's a link that confirms my memory: http://onnaturemagazine.com/squirrels.html
Which says the *only* place in Ontario with fox squirrels is Pelee Island.  So you were >99% correct.
