Anyone have ideas as to why we do not get chickadees at our back yard feeders? On a daily basis we get lots of finches, redpolls, pine siskins, nuthatch, doves, occasional cardinals, frequent Bluejays but never a chickadee. Yet when we walk around the heighbourhood we see and hear chickadees so they are close by.

Good question; up until last week I wondered the same thing because my 'regular' chickadees completely disappeared for more than two months but they finally returned and now they are hanging around most of the time.
