Post by: Napper on February 27, 2013, 05:48:53 PM
Irregardless of the white stuff  last night which continues here in Milton (24 hrs of snow)
Thank goodness it has been so mild.

I've read two reports of Killdeer North of my location already this week.

I looked outside early this morning and thought to myself - MFS! but then I decided to see what Lanny was up to - and guess what? - get the feeders ready 'cause they're on their way!

Once my hummers arrive they come and go all day but they don't stay in the yard because there are no flowers until my neighbours phlox blooms in late? July, so I'm looking for something to keep them around when they're not at the feeder. Any ideas will be sincerely welcomed! :)

Salvia is a plant that Hummingbirds love Last year shot hours of photos late into the fall as they fed on Black and Blue Salvia plants they grow like weeds so care is easy, they come in a variety of colors I know Hummers love red but these prefered the blk and Blue ones hope this helps

Salvia is a genus, including probably 8 or 9 species found in Ontario.   Just wondering what was meant by the "um" post.
