I saw a Great Egret at the Orangeville Reservoir today, that's the first one i have seen here. It was banded with a Silver band on right leg, and red on left leg. Just wondering if anyone knows how common they are up here and who/where they are banded.
I also saw a green heron, which is tamer than the 4 great blue's that I see there often (it doesn't mind me taking pics fairly close as it hunts for fish). Also a young Osprey catching fish on it's own and is sitting in a tree far from the nesting platform.
Also observed were:
Black Crowned Night Heron, Turkey Vulture, lots of blue-winged teal, red-tailed hawk, caspian terns, double crested cormorant, and 2 ruby throated hummingbirds.
Thanks

Thanks JTF, I reported it and sent them a pic. Really nice gallery you have by the way.
