it is the same shrike. i was there yesterday at 11 AM. got out of my car and, through the trees, saw a bird perched on the top of a tree south east of the parking lot. knew it was either the shrike or the local kestrel. slowly made my way south of the bird and it was the shrike.
it was my 1st time in 2 years that i found it at CSS. usually i find nothing.

Cool... We may have ran into each other, depending on how long you stayed. We arrived at 12:30 PM. We spotted him the farthest South-Western point of the park, exactly were I saw my first Kestrel. Cheers
