Title: Thickson Woods - Great Horned Owl
Post by: Andygod on March 06, 2013, 06:07:43 PM
I couldn't find the owl yesterday when the sun was shining, but he was there today in a different tree, but still very high up.  At times he looked like he was posing.

Good catch.

Though light might be bad, at least he is not behind a mass of twigs/branches. Last year mine always were.

Not just posing he was waving at the camera.  :D

Nice shots!  It's a hard bird to spot.  I was there yesterday and some fellow birder waved us over.  That's how we found him.  Congrats
