Today there was some activity in Downsview Park. A lot of crows, red-tailed hawks and 2 horned larks! I was only in the field today, that is why there are no woodland birds on the list. Here is my list:
6 Canada Goose
2 Sharp-shinned/Cooper's Hawk
15 Red-tailed Hawk
20 Ring-billed Gull
7 Rock Pigeon
1 American Kestrel
18 American Crow
2 Horned Lark
8 European

Cool. I will be down Monday.
Got lost in all that Keele mess the other day.

When you say "in the field" where do you mean? I wouldn't mind trying to find the horned larks. I'm pretty familiar with the park so if you can give me a good description of where to go I should be able to find the location.

They were by "the mound" (the biggest hill in Downsview Park) that is located behind 35 Carl Hall Road. Good luck!

Thanks...roughly what time of day?...assuming they are in the same place twice!

I saw them at 11:15, I went back at 1:30 and I could see or hear them. Good luck!
