Post by: greyowl51 on March 11, 2013, 11:59:21 AM
This past Friday, in the early afternoon we sighted two American Kestrel's(1 male and 1 female) in Whitby, Ontario.  The sighting was just east of Lynde Shores Conservation Area, on Victoria Street.  The two Kestrel's were sitting on the telephone lines on the north side of Victoria Street just east of the Petro Canada Gas station.  One Kestrel was was eating prey it had caught in the field located beside that roadway.  HD video, and more pics of this sighting at  http://frametoframe.ca/american-kestrel ... y-ontario/ (http://frametoframe.ca/american-kestrel-eating-prey-sighted-whitby-ontario/)

nice capture! I have seen the male and female sitting on those lines along there quite often lately - though I've never seen them consuming prey! :D
